About

Meet Shann.

Australian sunshine, a career in front of the camera, and an eye trained by both.

Her story

From the Sunshine Coast to your season.

Shann grew up on Australia’s Sunshine Coast, near Brisbane, and spent years working as a professional model before training as a colour analyst. She now consults in person in London and in Brisbane.

Modelling is an unusual apprenticeship in colour. Shann worked at the centre of an industry that treats it with complete seriousness: stylists weighing a fabric’s undertone, photographers adjusting light against skin, entire shoots built around a single shade. She saw, on camera and on her own face, what the right colour does and what the wrong one costs. That training of the eye is the foundation of her work now.

She practises the 16-season method of personal colour analysis, a system that reads the nuance of natural colouring rather than flattening it into four broad categories.

The trained eye

Colour, learnt from the other side of the camera.

Modelling teaches a particular kind of seeing. On set, colour is never an afterthought: the wrong shade flattens a face under lights, and the right one seems to switch it on. Shann brings that same professional eye to your analysis: precise, honest and entirely in your service.

She also knows what it is like to be on the other side of that attention, which shapes how she works. Her consultations are patient and free of judgement; observations are explained as they happen, and questions are welcome throughout.

What an appointment is like

In the room

Kind, patient, unhurried.

Shann’s consultations are unhurried by design. She is patient with questions, gentle with nerves, and clear about what she is seeing and why. If you would like a sense of how an appointment unfolds, from first drape to final palette, The Experience walks through it.
