Colour Parties
A colour analysis party at your home or venue, for birthdays, weekends away and celebrations, in London.
Friends and family
With the people who know you best.
There’s something lovely about doing this together. I hold up a drape, everyone leans in, and suddenly the whole room can see what it’s doing. (Fair warning: there will be opinions.)
A Colour Party is a private colour session for you and your favourite people, at home or wherever you’re celebrating. I bring the drapes; you bring the people.
Occasions
Made for a celebration.
- Birthday parties, for any age
- Girls’ weekends and weekends away
- Teen parties, especially before a school formal or prom
- Religious celebrations and family occasions
- Weddings, as something a little different for your guests
Planning a hen or stag do? Hens and Stags has its own page.
The fun part
What season is your best friend?
Part of the fun is finding out how differently colour behaves on people you’d have guessed were alike. Sisters who swap clothes can turn out to be completely different seasons, and the friend who always wears black might find a soft navy does far more for them.
Colour analysis is all about comparison, and in a group you see those comparisons on more than one face.
The format
How it works.
I come to you with my drapes and shape the session around your group. That can mean one of these:
- Everyone has their own analysisOne at a time, while the others watch and compare. How long it takes depends on how many of you there are, and I’ll give you timings when I come back to you.
- A shorter session for a bigger groupFor when there are more of you than there’s time for full analyses. I’ll explain exactly what it includes before you book.
Either way, I talk you through what I’m seeing as it happens, and every question is welcome, including the ones that start ‘this might sound silly, but’. If you’d like a sense of what happens in an analysis, The Experience walks through it.
Just the two of you? Colour Together is the one to book.
Afterwards
What everyone takes home.
That depends on the format you choose, and I’ll set it out clearly before you book, so everyone knows what to expect.
And hopefully a better sense of why they keep reaching for some things, while others never quite make it out of the wardrobe.
Practical things
Good to know.
- I come to you, at your home or the venue you’ve booked. Parties aren’t something I can host at my studio. Tell me where you’re celebrating and I’ll let you know what’s possible.
- Light makes a real difference to colour, so a room with good daylight is ideal.
- Anyone having their colours analysed should come without makeup or fake tan, in something with a low neckline. Keep your makeup nearby if you’d like to put it back on afterwards.
- Coloured hair is absolutely fine.
- Everyone is welcome, whatever their age, gender or skin tone. For teen parties, a parent books and a parent or guardian is there throughout.
- Nobody has to sit in the chair if they’d rather just watch.
Questions
Before you get in touch.
Can you come to us?
Yes, that’s how Colour Parties work. I bring my drapes to your home or the venue you’ve booked. Tell me where and I’ll let you know what’s possible.
Does everyone get their own analysis?
If you choose individual analyses, yes: everyone has their own time with the drapes and their own result. In a shorter session for a bigger group, I’ll explain exactly what everyone takes away before you book.
Would it make a good birthday present?
It can be a really memorable one. If it’s a surprise, mention that when you get in touch and we’ll work out the details together. It’s worth checking the birthday person is happy to be without makeup for a while.
Is it good for a teen party?
It can be a lovely one, especially before a school formal or prom, when everyone’s thinking about outfits. A parent books, and a parent or guardian is there throughout.
Can we mix ages?
Yes. Colour works the same way on everyone, so it’s a lovely thing for different generations to do together. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian with them.
How long does it take?
It depends on how many of you there are and which format suits you. I’ll include timings when I come back to you.
How much does it cost?
I put a price together once I know your numbers, the format, the place and the date. Asking doesn’t commit you to anything.
How do we book?
Tell me the occasion, roughly how many of you there are, where you’d like it to happen and a date or two, using the enquiry form. I’ll reply personally, usually within two working days.
Begin
Tell me what you’re planning.
The occasion, rough numbers, the place and a date or two is plenty to start with.
